This unofficial "Touhou Project" Christmas game will release Dec. 21.
The unofficial visual novel featuring Sakuya Izayoi from the "Touhou Project" series will be available in one week, The visual novel was created by the same developers behind "Sakuya Izayoi Gives You Advice And Dabs," the Sigyaad Team.
"Christmas Celebration With Sakuya Izayoi" was announced November 30,
"Christmas Celebration With Sakuya Izayoi" is a casual visual novel where the player explores the Christmas festival in Genosokyo, the main setting of "Touhou Project," while on a date with Izayoi.
Sakuya Izayoi is a human maid at the Scarlet Devil Mansion, home of the vampire Remilia Scarlet. Sakuya Izayoi has the ability to stop time, throwing knives as her main form of attack.
The Sigyaad Team has been developing visual novels since February 2020, starting with "Sakuya Izayoi Gives You Advice And Dabs,"
While Sigyaad Team is most well-known for their "Touhou" visual novels, they've created multiple original works too, such as "Dab on Darkness!"
The "Touhou Project" franchise was created by independent developer, artist, and composer ZUN with the first PC-98 games developed by Amusement Makers, a circle of university students.
The "Touhou Project" series started in 1995 with the first title styled with "Arkanoid" gameplay, before shifting to shoot 'em up gameplay by the second title.
The games after "Touhou 5: Mystic Square" were developed by ZUN himself. These titles would spark the "Touhou Project's" popularity, leading to an immense amount of fan works such as remixes.
"Christmas Celebration With Sakuya Izayoi" is made under the "Touhou Project Derivative Work Guidelines."
