Czech & Slovak Games Week 2021, which celebrates games from the Czech and Slovak Republic, begins now. The event features game discounts, game reveals, and more with Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day on Nov. 17.
The Czech & Slovak Games Week 2021 was announced to be happening on Steam by SCS Software who are based in the Czech Republic. SCS Software has developed driving games such as "Euro Truck Simulator 2," "American Truck Simulator," and more.

Czech & Slovak Games Week is organized by GDACZ — Czech Game Developers Association, founded in 2018.
Czech & Slovak Games Week 2021 beings with some games at discounted prices. The winner of the Czech & Slovak Games Week 2021 Game Jam will also be announced.
Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. EST will present the nominations for the Czech Game Awards for the Czech game of the decade award. The winner will be decided by who receives the most votes.
The Czech and Slovak Games Week Direct Showcase will be on Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. which will announce new titles. There will also be developer conferences between Nov. 19 and Nov. 20.
This event is also taking place on the App Store, GOG.com with their own sale, and itch.io with a sale too.

Czech and Slovak Games Week 2021 takes place in the middle of Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day. The holiday commemorates two events, the first being the 1939 to 1944 nationwide protests of Bohemian Lands/Sudeten Lands students against the Nazi regime.
More than a thousand students were sent to concentration camps, which prompted the second event known as the Velvet Revolution. The Velvet Revolution was prompted in 1989 on the 50th anniversary of the event involving the Nazis. During the anniversary, there was a memorial march.
Despite resistance from authorities, the march would lead to nationwide protests across Czechoslovakia. This event was the beginning of communism’s end in the country.
On Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day, people wear red, blue and white, which are the colours used in the official artwork for Czech and Slovak Games Week 2021.
