The frequency of Ditto has increased today in "Pokémon GO" for all of April Fool's Day local time. Other Pokémon will also appear more often in the evening local time, some of which are disguised Dittos.
The event is officially titled "April Fools'2-Oh?-22."
Certain Pokémon will appear more often between 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today local time, including:
Ekans
Gastly
Natu
Surskit
Finneon
Dwebble
Swirlix
Each Pokémon listed has a chance of being a Ditto. If lucky, players can run into shiny versions of the listed Pokémon, including Ditto.
Ditto Stickers are also available to buy from the in-game shop, by opening gifts, or spinning PokéStops.
The "Pokémon GO" social media has also been Ditto-fied with a Ditto profile picture, posts about Ditto, and more.
Ditto is a Pokémon that debuted in "Pokémon Red" and "Pokémon Blue" for the Nintendo Gameboy. It is a Normal-Type that can change into the shape of another Pokémon.
By transforming into the Pokémon it's fighting, it can not only copy the Pokémon's appearance, but also its stats, catch rate and more. Ditto's base stats are a consistent 48.
Mark Edward Fischbach, famous YouTuber Markiplier, would smash Ditto.
