Indie Platformer-Adventure 'POLE' Free Until Afternoon Today

This $22.79CDN platformer is free for a limited time, going back to its base price soon.

This 2022 2D-Platformer for Windows and Mac will be free-to-keep on Steam until this afternoon. A retro platforming challenge awaits those who get and play "POLE."

According to the Steam Store page for "POLE," the indie title has the player go through 22 2D levels with 3D visuals with collectibles, wall jumping, puzzles, a rage button, and more.

"POLE" can take from two to 12 hours depending on skill, according to the description for "POLE" on its Steam Store page.

The reviews for "POLE" are mixed out of a total of 62. While positive reviews give praises such as "slick, clever, and very very challenging side scrolling action platformer with puzzle elements" in YOUR MOTHER NLAW's review, negative reviews like SkyLike's say "the controls tho, are horrible" or OzzyUnica's that said "unfortunately it is far too difficult and demanding for me to enjoy."

"POLE" is designed to be a challenging precision platformer reminiscent of the Nintendo Entertainment System era of video games, where difficult titles like "Ninja Gaiden," "Castlevania," and more were released.

"POLE" was released this year in early May by indie developer Iuvenis Studios and Mobul Tek LLC. "POLE" is the only game both have worked on.

The free-to-keep discount for "POLE" started yesterday, August 1.
