The 'Final Fantasy V' Pixel Remaster Out Now on Mobile Devices, Soon for Steam

The fifth "Final Fantasy" Pixel Remaster is now available to buy.

The 1992 "Final Fantasy V" is remastered and is ready to play on mobile devices, and will be ready to play on Steam soon as part of the "Final Fantasy" Pixel Remasters. The Pixel Remaster will improve gameplay, and more.

The mobile device port is available on the mobile devices. The Steam version will release in less than an hour.

Edit: The Steam release is now playable.

"Final Fantasy V" is about a young man and his Chocobo, who go on an adventure to save the world after the king of the land mysteriously disappears.

This will be the second release of "Final Fantasy V" on Steam and mobile phones, with the old version being taken down with the release of the first three Pixel Remasters. The old version was criticized for its visuals and for being a mobile phone port

"Final Fantasy V" built on the job system from prior "Final Fantasy" entries, such as introducing the Blue Mage class. The new job system allows players to keep skills learned from one class when using another class, creating more diverse gameplay.

The release of the "Final Fantasy V" Pixel Remaster makes "Final Fantasy VI" the only mainline 2D "Final Fantasy" game to not be re-released on mobile devices and Steam yet. The Pixel Remaster of "Final Fantasy VI" is still set to release in 2021.

The Steam release of "Final Fantasy V" will have a 20 per cent discount, from $23.99CDN to $19.19CDN, until November 30.
