British Indie Developer & Publisher Playtonic Games is Hiring Programmers and Artists

The job positions will be in-person, meaning applicants must/plan to live in the United Kingdom.

Developer of the "Yooka-Laylee" games and publisher since early 2021 is now hiring for eight positions for their team. Some of the positions include Product Manager, Experienced Gameplay Programmer, Concept Artist, and more.

The full list of positions are:

• Product Manager

• Experienced Gameplay Programmer

• Core Technology Lead Programmer

• Senior Technical Programmer

• Senior Platform Programmer

• Senior UI/UX Artist

• Concept Artist

• Senior Technical Artist

Applicants with a Bachelor of Science degree, Bachelor of Engineering degree, one to three years of product managing experience, and more can apply if they meet the requirements listed for the job(s) they’re applying to.

Playtonic Games is an indie publisher that was founded in 2014 as a developer. Playtonic Games developed the "Yooka-Laylee" games, with Yooka and Laylee acting as mascots for the company.

This year, Playtonic started publishing games under Playtonic Friends. Some titles they've published include "Demon Turf," "A Little Golf Journey," and more.

"You wouldn’t believe the amount of hidden gems out there that are left unearthed," Playtonic Games said in the FAQ section of their website. "We’re making it our mission to bring interesting games that tickle our fancy to the surface and get the love and attention they deserve."
