‘Yooka-Laylee’ Tabletop Party Game and Physical Graphic Novel Launches Pre-Orders

Pre-Orders are available on LimitedRunGames with the “Yooka-Laylee” tabletop game being available to pre-order until Sept. 15, 2021.


The graphic novel, “Yooka-Laylee and the Kracklestone,” and the version of the tabletop game with the graphic novel are available to the first 1000 who buy them each. There are only 2000 copies of the graphic novel.


There are four versions to buy. There is the standard version and the Special Edition for the tabletop game.

For the versions including the graphic novel, there is the Grand Tome Edition and the Expanded Grand Tome Edition. The latter includes the tabletop game.

Each version costs different amounts. The tabletop game costs $19.99USD while the Special Edition costs $29.99USD. The graphic novel alone is $44.99, while the Expanded Grand Tome Edition is $69.99USD.


The Special Edition comes with the tabletop game, a playable bonus card, a B-Sides CD album with ten new tracks, and a protective cover case. The standard version of the tabletop doesn’t include any of the extra goodies.

The Expanded Grand Tome Edition comes with the same B-Sides CD Album, playable bonus cards, an exclusive golden version of the tabletop game, the graphic novel, and eight art cards sized at 4x6’. The Grand Tome Edition only comes with the graphic novel.

The tabletop game, according to LimitedRunGames, has two to four players collect Quills as currency to purchase items to get the advantage, The Ghost Writers that offer challenges that give a lot of points when conquered, a build-your-own deck system to make the game replayable and different, and more.


The tabletop game was made in collaboration with Game Decks, who also made the "Mutant Mudds Deluxe" and "Mutant Mudds Super Challenge" tabletop games. Based on their respective games, "Mutant Mudds Deluxe" and "Mutant Mudds Super Challenge."

The “Yooka-Laylee and the Kracklestone” graphic novel is 120 pages, drawn by D.M. Cumbo, the founder of Dreamprism Press. “Yooka-Laylee and the Kracklestone” is his first finished book.


“Yooka-Laylee and the Kracklestone” can be purchased digitally on Steam, and is currently on sale for 25 per cent off.

“Yooka-Laylee” is a platformer series made Playtonic Games. Playtonic Games is made up of former Rare Ltd. employees, who made iconic games such as “Banjo-Kazooie,” “Conker’s Bad Fur Day,” and more.

“Yooka-Laylee” was kickstarted back in 2015 with £2,090,104.00, which is equivalent to 3,585,092.69CDN. It was seen as a return to form for 3D platformers and a lot of people were hyped about the game.


They released “Yooka-Laylee” in 2017 and “Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair” in 2019.


The former was met with mixed reception at launch since not everyone’s expectations were met. However, the game still gained fans.


“Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair” was better received by both critics and fans.
