Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny’ Launches for Nintendo Switch in Western Regions


The new entry in the SRPG series “Disgaea” that claims to punch SRPGs in the throat is now available outside of Japan.

"Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny" is only available in English and French on the Nintendo Switch. In Canada, the game costs $79.79CDN.



Nippon Ichi Software, Inc. and NIS America, Inc. are the developer and publisher of “Disagaea 6: Defiance of Destiny” respectively. They have developed and published every main Disgaea entry.


“Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny” has been released six years after “Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance,” excluding the complete version.

“Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny” is the first main "Disgaea" entry to have 3D presentation. The other games in the series always used 2D presentation.

The story of “Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny” is about a zombie named Zed in the Netherworld who, after being threatened by a God of Destruction, decides to go up against said God of Destruction.


Using the new Super Reincarnation feature, which carries over your stats but starts you back at level one, Zed might have a chance at defeating the God of Destruction.

The game includes other new features for the series, including Karma, an Auto-Repeat System, Auto-Battle, Demonic Intelligence, and many more.

The “Disgaea” franchise started in early 2003, becoming recognizable thanks to its humour, gameplay mechanics, and more.
