‘Genshin Impact’ is having Aloy from ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ Joining the Roster

The protagonist of the 2017 “Horizon Zero Dawn” will be available on PlayStation platforms of “Genshin Impact” when Version 2.1 hits.

To get the five-star Aloy (Cryo), players must be an Adventure Rank of 20 or above. When that requirement is completed, she will be available through in-game mail.

The event will be live from the 2.1 Version Update to the 2.2 Version Update maintenance for PlayStation versions. The event will end on October 13, 2021, at 5:59 p.m. EST, according to miHoYo’s blog.


For all platforms, the event will be from the 2.2 Version Update to the 2.3 Version Update maintenance. The event will end on November 24, 2021 at 5:59 p.m. EST, according to miHoYo’s blog.


The game is currently in Version 2.0. Version 2.1 is speculated to release in late August of this year.

“Horizon Zero Dawn” originally came out on the PlayStation 4 to critical acclaim.


The game was nominated and won awards, such as: Best Original Property at the BAFTA Awards; Outstanding Achievement in Video Game Writing in the Writer’s Guild of America, U.S.A.; and more.

There is sequel titled "Horizon Forbidden West" that is in development that was announced last year

This also isn’t the first time Aloy has appeared in other games. Aloy was also in Hideo Kojima’s “Death Stranding” and in the popular “Fortnite” as an item set.

Does this mean that Genshin Impact, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Death Stranded are all in the same universe...? Interesting, I like it!
