'Halo 3: ODST' Turns 12-Years-Old Today

The fourth installment in the "Halo" franchise released September 22, 2009 for the Xbox 360.

"Halo 3: ODST" starred the mute Orbital Drop Shock Trooper (ODST) named Rookie who must find his fellow ODST after getting left behind. "Halo 3: ODST "introduced the Firefight game mode for the "Halo" series, where enemies fight waves of enemies. Additionally, a disc for bonus "Halo 3" multiplayer maps was included in the physical copy.


"Halo 3: ODST" has received mostly positive reception for its campaign, addition of Firefight, presentation, multiplayer maps, and more, However, it was also criticized for its asking price of $60USD back in the day due to the game being seen as an expansion to "Halo 3."


"Halo 3: ODST" can be played today through the "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
