Innersloth Posts New 'Among Us' Dev Log with News on What's Coming Next

An Emergency Meeting no "Among Us" fan should miss.

The Dev Log by Victoria T. addresses a DDoS attack on the servers, some details on the upcoming free update, delays, and shows fan creations by the community.

The Dev Log addresses the problems with servers since Sept. 20, like why some people haven't been able to play. According to Innersloth, essentially, someone DDoS attacked the "Among Us" servers.

A DDoS attack is when a lot of traffic is maliciously sent in high numbers to a service. The "Among Us" servers were overwhelmed by the attack. Innersloth says they're using new hardware but are still testing it, reassuring it'll be added soon.

Additionally, some details have been revealed about the next update, mainly about how new roles will be added to "Among Us." How many roles will be added and what they'll consist of is unknown.

The Dev Log says that the update will be coming to all platforms simultaneously.

The Dev Log also reveals the Xbox and PlayStation release of "Among Us," which was originally slated for September, has been delayed to make sure everything runs smoothly for the ports.

The console ports will release with the upcoming update included, however no release date was given.

The Dev Log ends up some fan creations from Twitter embedded into the Dev Log.

The last update, excluding patch notes, was on June 15, 2021 to celebrate the third anniversary of "Among Us," The update included 15 player lobbies, new colours, and more.
