Pre-Orders will open Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. EST on the Red Art Games website.

The indie comedy title "The Procession to Calvary" is getting a physical release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in the first quarter of 2022. Pre-Orders will open Dec. 2 for around $42CDN on the Red Art Games website.

"The Procession to Calvary" is a point-and-click adventure game made up of Renaissance paintings released in 2020 for Steam, App Store, and Google Play Store. In 2021, the game was also released for the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.

The game is comedic in nature, with the developer comparing its humour to "Monty Python" in its Steam Store Page description. The story of the game is about finding Heavenly Peter, a tyrant.

"The Procession to Calvary" is a spiritual successor to the 2017 "Four Last Things," who was also made by the same developer, Joe Richardson. "Four Last Things" has the same visual and comedy style as "The Procession to Calvary."

Joe Richardson has been developing games since 2016, starting with "The Preposterous Awesomeness of Everything." Richardson is working on another Renaissance painting point-and-click adventure game titled "Death of the Reprobate."

"The Procession to Calvary" is named after a Renaissance painting of the same name by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, alongside "Death of the Reprobate" by a different artist with "The Four Things" being named after a term in Christian eschatology.
