A new trailer for "LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga" has dropped, expanding on mechanics and showing new features not shown in previous trailers. From over 300 characters, an April 5, 2022 release, and more.

"LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga" lets players experience all three movie trilogies. Players can choose which trilogy they want to do first, starting from their respective first Episode, such as "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope."

The melee combat lets players strike enemies using combos and defeat them by using counters. It's similar to games like the "Batman: Arkham" Series and Insomniac's "Spider-Man."

The gun combat lets players aim their blaster at enemies for accurate shots with an implemented cover system.

As a Jedi, players can do all the classic lightsaber combat techniques, such as the Saber throw. The force can also be used to lift objects, in combat, and to even influence NPC behaviour, such as to make them panic or influence them.

Players can also unlock planets to travel to during each respective saga. For example, in the third "Star Wars" saga featuring Rey, Finn, BB-8, and more, they can travel to Hoth, which never appeared in the third "Star Wars' saga.

Each planet can be explored in detail, letting players find rewards such as blue bricks that unlock abilities throughout multiple character classes such as a Jedi, Bounty Hunter, and more.

Space battles are also present, allowing players to take on missions. Side-missions are also present on planets, from mini-games to side-quests.
