The Second 'Soul Hackers 2' Promotional Video Now has English Subtitles

The tone of the upcoming "Soul Hackers 2" becomes clear in the new PV.

The second promotional video (PV) for the JRPG coming out in August released 14 hours ago, now has English subtitles through Closed Captions. The second PV shows off more gameplay and story elements.

Dungeon exploration appears to work similarly to prior 3D "Megami Tensei" titles, such as "Shin Megami Tensei IV." Enemies appear on the field, with the player being able to hit them to surprise attack them.

However, if an enemy catches the player first, the demons will launch a surprise attack on them.

Players also appear to be able to select another type of attack which lets demon(s) attack during a party member's turn, or at least Ringo's, the protagonist's, turn.

The PV also gives a more detailed look at the story, such as the antagonist, characters, and more.

The antagonist group is now clearly the Phantom Society, who wants to collect the Covenants to destroy the world.

It's up to Ringo's party to stop the Phantom Society. However, it appears to stop them, time manipulation will be involved.

For fans of the "Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner" Spin-off series, the name Kuzunoha was dropped. The Kuzunoha are a clan of Devil Summoners that protect Japan in the "Devil Summoner" Series.

The Kuzunoha name is most recognizable as the last name of the protagonist of the two "Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - Raidou Kuzunoha" Titles.

"Soul Hackers" is the sequel to the 1997 JRPG, "Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers." The title was released in Japan for the Sega Saturn, 1999 for the PlayStation, and 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS.

The first English release of "Soul Hackers" was for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013.
