"Xtreme Sports” for the Game Boy Color released 21 years ago on this very day.
To celebrate, WayForward, the developer of "Xtreme Sports," posted about the 21st anniversary on their Twitter account.
The game is one of WayForward’s earlier titles, even before “Shantae” for the same system, which came out in 2002.
With WayForward’s celebration of “Xtreme Sports,” they also noted that the Nintendo Switch version, that was announced last year, is still coming.
However, if you want to play the game immediately, it’s available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop for $4.99CDN.
Reproduction cartridges for "Xtreme Sports" will be available to pre-order on the Limited Run Games website, however it's unknown when.
“Xtreme Sports” is a sports role-playing game (RPG) that has the player participating in five sports with plenty of competitors to go up against.
