'Genshin Impact' has its One Year Anniversary Approaching and an event planned, Shop Atlus will be getting a makeover, and more.

Welcome to Bit-Sized News, where we recap some of the biggest video game news stories of the day.


'Genshin Impact' One Year-Anniversary Events


The popular Gacha, "Genshin Impact," is celebrating its one-year release anniversary with events and with more events coming soon.

The currently held events are three contest for fan art, videos, and photos. The upcoming events will start from September 25 to October 7, 2021 and will consist of a cosplay contest, creating anniversary cards, and more.


These events can be accessed through the official Genshin Impact Twitter & Facebook accounts and the HoYoLAB website.


"Genshin Impact" first released September 28, 2021, within its first four days, "Genshin Impact" received 17 million downloads globally,


Shop Atlus will get Changes and Improvements this October


The Atlus storefront will be revitalized as Shop Atlus in October. This news announcement is alongside the announcement of the "Persona" series' 25th Anniversary Celebrations starting.

Shop Atlus will provide exclusive merchandise for customers to buy from their favourite Atlus games, which extend beyond "Persona." Items will also be shippable worldwide.


A beta launch will be held for Shop Atlus some time in the future, alongside a special selection of "Persona" products for its 25th anniversary. Currently, wallpapers of the protagonists of the "Persona" series are available for free.


Photo Mode Announcement for "Kena: Bridge of Spirits’"


With "Kena: Bridge of Spirits’" launching tomorrow on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Epic Games Store, Ember Labs has announced the Photo Mode feature in a PlayStation blog.

The Photo Mode can freeze the characters or have them moving. There is also a button for the character(s) to say cheese.


"Throughout development, so much of our focus went into the dynamic story moments...and beautifully crafted cut-scenes, but we also wanted to focus on the characters at rest," Ember Lab Producer Thomas Varga said in the PlayStation blog.


"Kena: Bridge of Spirits’" is a third-person action-adventure game by Ember Lab who specialize in animations. Their most famous work is a fan-made "Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" animation.


'Pokémon Trading Card Game Live' Coming Soon


The "Pokémon Trading Card Game" will be getting a mobile phone app for mobile phones and on computers named "Pokémon Trading Card Game Live."


"Pokémon Trading Card Game Live" lets players collect "Pokémon" cards in the application through card codes, purchasable booster packs in-game, and more.

Players will also be able to participate in worldwide PvP battles with their card decks and create their own custom avatars.


Rumour Spreads that Quantic Dream is making a "Star Wars" Game


Quantic Dream, who made the popular "Heavy Rain" and "Detroit: Become Human" is rumoured to be making a Star Wars game.

This rumour first started by French YouTuber Gautoz September 16, 2021, according to multiple video game news outlets.


Tom Henderson at DualShockers reported in his article on the rumour that he got into contact with, "an individual who provided overwhelming evidence that he had contacts at Quantic Dream and reported that the Star Wars game by the studio has been in the works for around 18 months."


This is only a rumour, so nothing is confirmed.
