E3 2022 Reportedly Cancelled Completely, Both Physically and Digitally

E3 2022 may have just been completely cancelled a second time.

According to North America's Razer PR Lead, Will Powers, today he got an email telling him that E3 2022 was no longer happening digitally. The physical event was cancelled earlier this year, as reported by IGN in January.

When Xbox Software Engineer, Brenna Duffitt, asked if E3 2022 was only cancelled physically, Powers replied "Official ESA E3 is officially cancelled cancelled."

According to IGN, "IGN has independently verified the contents of the email."

So far, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), who hosts E3, has not commented on the digital cancellation.

The news from Will Powers shocked many people looking forward to the event.

E3 originally started in 1995, being held annually until 2020. E3 2021 was held as a digital event for the first time.

A few people believe or hope the cancellation this is just an early April Fool's joke.
