The new Nintendo Switch model’s Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $449.99CAD.
The new Nintendo Switch OLED (organic light-emitting diode) model adds a seven-inch OLED screen. "The large screen's vivid colors and high contrast deliver a rich handheld and tabletop gaming experience," Nintendo of America said in a tweet. The original Nintendo Switch model has a six-point-two-inch screen.
The OLED model also comes with 64GB of storage, double what the original Nintendo Switch model has.
The OLED model’s stand is more flexible, allowing for more adjustable options.
There will also be a new dock for use with the OLED model with two USB ports, and a HDMI port for plugging the Switch into the T.V..
The sound will also be enhanced.
The available colours for the OLED model are the Neon White and Neon red/Neon blue set. The OLED model will also launch the same day as "Metroid Dread."
The rest of the specs are identical to the original Nintendo Switch model. There are no new major hardware changes.
On Twitter, the reactions to the OLED model have been mixed, leaning towards the negative side.
