‘Shantae: Risky’s Revenge - Director’s Cut’ Available for physical Pre-Order Tomorrow Morning

Shantae’s first game for the PS5’s physical copies will be available for pre-order at 10 a.m. EST only on Limited Run Games.

The standard edition of “Shantae: Risky’s Revenge - Director’s Cut” will be available for $29.99USD and the collector’s edition for $79.99USD. This is alongside separate merchandise such as a hoodie, a skateboard deck, and more that will all be available for pre-order starting tomorrow.

“Shantae: Risky’s Revenge - Director’s Cut” Collector’s Edition will include: the base game; a fully-coloured manual; a Blu-Ray sized SteelBook; a CD of all 30 songs from the game; enamel pins of the zombie trio Rottytops, Abner Cadaver, and Poe; a keychain of the game’s logo, a Shantae acrylic standee; and a poster with art on both sides.

The separately purchased merchandise are the trading card set, stickers, t-shirt, hoodie, skateboard deck, sitting skateboard deck, and hat. All are sold separately.

These items will cost $19.99USD, $9.99USD, $29.99USD, $44.99USD, $74.99USD, $74.99USD, and $24.99USD respectively on Limited Run Games.

There is also a PS5 slipcover available for pre-order too for $9.99USD. The slipcover is designed to hold all physical copies of Shantae for the PS5.

So far, only “Risky’s Revenge – Director's Cut” is available for pre-order for the PS5.

“Shantae: Risky’s Revenge” originally came out in 2010 on the DSiware Shop for the Nintendo DSi by WayForward, who has developed every “Shantae” entry.

A Director’s Cut version of “Risky’s Revenge” was released on Steam in 2014, being ported to other platforms starting 2015.

Despite being the first “Shantae” game being released for the PS5, “Risky’s Revenge” is Shantae’s second game.

The first “Shantae” game is “Shantae” for Nintendo’s Game Boy Color, which will be called “Shantae GBC” for simplicity. “Shantae GBC” released in 2002.

“Shantae GBC” has only been exclusive to Nintendo consoles, including its rerelease on the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch.

This will be the first time “Shantae GBC” is released for a non-Nintendo console.

Pre-Orders end on August 8, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. EST for all Shantae merch and physical copies of "Risky's Revenge - Director's Cut."
