The Physical Release of 'Amazon's Training Road' Now Open for Pre-Orders

A physical release of "Amazon's Diet Road," now localized, is available to pre-purchase for $59.99USD.

The runner made for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) decades after its release is not only getting a localization, but a physical release for the NES available to pre-order now at Limited Run Games. Pre-orders close April 24, 2022.

The physical release comes with a pink NES cartridge of "Amazon's Training Road," also coming with retro western-style artwork. A fully-coloured instruction manual also comes with the physical release, along with a dust sleeve.

The goal in "Amazon's Training Road" is to get Amazon, the protagonist, back in shape by dodging sweets and drinking water.

"Amazon's Training Road" is a localized update of the 2017 "Gotta Protectors: Amazon's Diet Road," released for free on PC. The localization is made to be authentic to NES game localizations from 1989.

The physical release includes new sprite work and a bonus sound player for the soundtrack of the 2019 "Gotta Protectors: Cart of Darkness."

"Gotta Protectors: Cart of Darkness" is another NES-styled title featuring the protagonist of "Amazon's Diet Road" in her original design. Both titles were developed by Ancient, with 8-4, a localizer of Japanese games, localizing "Cart of Darkness."

Ancient is a Japanese development studio that was founded in 1990. They've developed titles such as "Sonic the Hedgehog" for the Sega Game Gear, "Streets of Rage II" for the Sega Genesis, and more.

Ancient was founded by Yuzo Koshiro, a Japanese composer who has worked on titles such as "7th Dragon," "Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth," and more.
